Kaffi Rót

This friendly non-alcoholic café right at downtown Reykjavík, Hafnarstræti 17, has been welcoming the Icelandic Lindy hoppers for more than over a year both for the regular Sunday dances and whenever Lindy hoppers' appettites crave for a swing out. This café is planned to be both a cosy place to sit and talk during the exchange and a dance floor whenever you want to triple-step. Just show up and tune into a swing song in the library.

For the restless lindy hoppers some reaaally late after-parties are planned. Hopefully Ingi and Stefán the masters will allow us as they always did.

Hitt Húsið

"The Other House"... The Youth Cultural and Information Centre has been housing the Lindy hop practices for 2 years now. It's at the heart of downtown Reykjavík, at the corner of Austurstræti and Pósthússtræti. This building will be used as a registration and information centre for the Arctic Lindy Exchange. http://www.hitthusid.is

Iðnó

Iðnó is located in the heart of the city of Reykjavík, beside the City Pond, directly opposite the City Hall. It's used both as a theatre and restaurant. Iðnó was built in 1897 and reconstructed in its original form in 1997. It remains as it was in 1897, testament to the grand vision of Iceland's artisans. You can read more about the history of Iðnó at http://www.idno.is/english.html

Edinborgarhúsið

This cultural house where most of the big events in Ísafjörður take place will also host the Arctic Lindy Exchange for 3 nights.
